January in Lithuania
Hello everyone from Širvintos, Lithuania! It has been almost seven months since I arrived here, and I feel like I belong more and more. We mostly do activities every week and go to school, which is really enjoyable for me. However, sometimes I get bored when you hangout so much with the youngster miss hanging out with people my age. I can spend time with youngster , but it doesn’t feel the same—I don’t know why. And when I start feeling bored, I travel to other countries, which helps motivate me for my job. When I come back from my travels, I feel even more motivated because, while traveling, I meet new people and feel great.
One time, when I was flying to Switzerland from Vilnius Airport, I saw a guy who is a professional car racer. I didn’t know who he was at first, but it was a great experience. There were so many people there interviewing him, which made the moment even more interesting for me.
So yeah, I organized a kebab activity, and it was such a great experience! But the sad part was that I couldn’t even taste my own kebab. Well, actually, it wasn’t that sad—I just like to exaggerate a little. 😆
I’m getting used to not eating meat, and honestly, I think I’m becoming a vegetarian. Sometimes I even feel like going fully vegan. I wouldn’t mind if I became vegan because I’m naturally more of a veggie person, so it wouldn’t be a challenge for me—it’s just my choice. Actually, I found halal chicken here, but for some reason, I don’t really feel like eating it. I don’t know why.
we said goodbye to our local volunteer. So, it was really sad because we spent six months here, and she was kind of a friend. So, she is still coming to the center, but it’s not the same.
So, anyway, if you are reading this blog—hiiii! A message from me: you should come to the center more often and join the activities. So, there’s no obligation! 😆
So, this is all I have to say for now.
Eren started an Italian-speaking club, and it’s going pretty well! I’m learning a lot of new vocabulary—actually, I forgot what we learned. I should check my phone to remember. The only word that comes to mind is bonjour, but I guess that’s actually French.
At the same time, we also have a French-speaking club. But I’ll save that for another blog.
To be honest, I really enjoy writing blogs. It’s fun while I’m doing it. But if it were an obligation, I probably wouldn’t like it as much. Right now, we have a deadline, which is why I’m writing. I’m not sure if it’s entirely my choice… but let’s not think about that. 😆
Aslı organized a Turkish Food Day, and it was absolutely delicious! I realized how much I missed Turkish food. Sending a big thank you from my vlog! We should definitely do this more often—like every day! 😆
Anyway, the workers loved Turkish food, which didn’t surprise me at all. I mean, it’s Turkish food—of course, it’s delicious!
We had a drawing event, and Aslı’s friend helped us with it. Big thanks for that—it was so much fun! He sent us a really enjoyable video, and we followed along to create some great drawings. It was a fantastic experience!
Thank you for reading my blog! I hope you made it to the end. If you did, leave an emoji in the comments and don’t forget to like! Hopefully, I can continue writing more. 😊
